Tarjeta de agradecimiento - Cardmaking - Tarjeta gracias

Bonjour!!

Bonjour!

Today I am inspired by France in every possible way! Julie, our French friend who lives in Uruguay and is a landscape designer, went back or a few days to her home country to visit friends and family.

After returning from her trip, she confessed she didn’t know what to get me about cardmaking because – according to her, ha! – I already have pretty much everything. I have a lot, it’s true! But who could have enough of these beautiful things, right?

To sum up… she got me as a gift – always thinking of the natural world – these dried and colored leaves in different colors for me to use as a special detail in a card.

Aren’t they adorable? Yes! Both Julie and the leaves! If you watch her last video on her YouTube channel, you’ll see the card we last made for her in her shelf.

Obviously, I started thinking about how to use them. They are very inspirational because of all the colors they come in. You are tempted to arrange them all in a rainbow, or something like that.

But I inmediately thought of making a thank you card for Julie, using the leaves, and the French flag started waving in my mind. I remembered a stamp from Mamá Elephant that features a thank you phrase in French and I thought Voilà!

Here’s the video for you to watch! The card is pretty easy to make. The biggest challenge was to glue the leaves to the card without the adhesive showing.
