If you don’t know what this series is about, I am going through each one or groups of videos of my Craft Room 360º so you can ask all the questions you need and you can also organize your own space with mine as an inspiration.

I’ve already covered all the desk surface, we’ve seen my markers in detail, the embossing powders, the rest of my work area and what I think is the most important thing for those of us who make cards, the stamps and dies!!

Now I am going to tell you about what’s in my bookcases.

We’ve already seen one of the shelves. We saw one last week where I keep the boxes that store my stamps and dies.
I’ve got five more shelves. Let’s go from the bottom up.

The first one, next to the stamps and dies, is the shelf where I keep my acrylic blocks, my hole puncher, my Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 camera and some other things, but let’s do this in parts (said Jack the Ripper).

Acrylic blocks are solid and heavy acrylic squares and rectangles that come in different sizes, and on top of them we mount the stamps we use to make cards. They don’t really suffer any damage with use, I mean, you could use them as many times as you want and they’ll be as perfect as they were the day you bought them.

Their most important function is to serve as support for the stamp to get the stamping done right, but on top of that, when we use transparent stamps, since the acrylic is transparent as well, we can see through the two items and stamp again where the image didn’t come out right or if the technique requires it.

Hole punchers are small (well, sometimes not so small) machines that cut paper into shapes. They are often made of metal and very heavy. They are not at all easy to organize and store, since they all have different shapes, sizes and colors, so I decided to get them all inside a nice box. So that they are within reach in the same place and it looks good. 😉

The Instax Mini 8 Fujifilm camera is my favourite! You get a super pretty Polaroid picture that’s great to keep, stick in an album or give away as a present. I usually send photos of flogger to my friends by post. I also have the Instax Share printer which uses the same ??? as the camera, but lets you print the photos you take on your phone in that same Polaroid format. Isn’t that great?

The crochet Instagram-like cover is something I bought online, and it’s very pretty to store the printer. If you’d like to get one just like it, you can have the link HERE.

I usually use Washi Tapes for masking! I should devote more time to these, because they can be used in a lot more creative ways! They have pretty designs and gentle adhesive that can be removed easily without damaging the paper!

Labels! They are so addictive! I look at my own videos and I think “this is all so pretty!” Amazing, I should definitively use more of everything I have! I always use the same elements, don’t I? There are thousands of labels in this box that can be used on Art Journals or the cards themselves. I promise to schedule that I should open this box. 😉

Here’s the video so you can see this part in detail.

The following shelf right on top of this one has a little chest full of wool and woolen pompoms. Haven’t you ever tried making woolen pompoms? I love making them, they are great therapy – they are super relaxing if you are not in a hurry. 😉

This s a calligraphy set that my friend Silvina gave me two birthdays ago. I used it as I was taking classes, but I should really dust it and get down to work with it. Sadly, it’s an art you lose if you don’t practise it.

I also treasure books and magazines for inspiration, about cards and hand-made crafts, anything you have that you enjoy looking at is something worth keeping within reach: it helps for those moments where we can’t seem to get inspired.

My personal organizers from previous years I also keep within reach, even though I don’t use them anymore. They look pretty and I always know where they are if I need them.

Here’s the video so you can see this shelf in detail.

The next shelf is the highest one, next to the window.

That’s where I keep books and magazines about handcrafts and cards, especially from Martha Stewart, but since it’s the tallest shelf I don’t really look at them often since I need a ladder to reach them.

That’s also where I keep my boxes with cards from Project Life. I got them as a present a while ago and I can’t find the motivation to use them. I do like placing them in the photos of the blog as decoration, but since I don’t do scrapbooking or photo albums I just use them to decorate my photos.

I do make albums by hand about my travels, but not photo albums: instead, I glue all the keepsakes I bring, like tickets, napkins, tickets, cards, etc and I also print my e-mails with the daily going ons so I don’t forget a thing! Those albums need a lot more space, so I have quite a few that are blank, for trips to come. Maybe one day I’ll make one and film it so you can see the process on my YouTube channel. That’s another addiction of mine!

Here’s the video so you can check out this shelf.

To the left of this previous shelf, also at the top, I keep two folders from Project Life that I reutilize to store all the instruction manuals lying around the house from all my electrical appliances (even some that no longer work!). I recommend doing it, it’s very useful when something stops working or I need to learn a new function of an appliance I own. Let’s be honest, if you don’t keep the manuals stored in this fashion, how long will it take you to find them?

That’s also where I keep my travel albums which are finished and ready. It’s not something you look at very often so the place is ideal!

And a few more books that if you are interested I strongly recommend as inspiration. You can find the books in the links you’ll find at the bottom of this post 😉 You can see them more clearly in this video.

On this shelf I store my Ohlalá Argentinean magazines and all my books and manuals to draw and color. By the way, Secret Garden is a book that’s gotten quite popular for coloring, and it’s available at Simon Says Stamps by clicking HERE.
