I’ve wanted to have a butterfly set to play with for quite some time. I had thought of a thousand ways of coloring these butterflies and combining different techniques so they look more realistic or more colorful.

Sizzix sent me this set called Butterflies Nº3 that, on top of having some beautiful butterfly stamps, also has die-cuts! And truly, once you’ve finished coloring them and the moment of cutting them is ahead, you’ll be super thankful that these wonderful die-cuts exist with the same shape as the butterflies you’ve just colored.

The cut will look perfect and there won’t be any sharp corners!

I got down to work and for this video, I decided to use watercolors to paint them and make them come alive by sticking them to the card with movement and depth.

I thought of making a simple card that makes people fall in love and creates butterflies in the stomach of the lucky receipient, that’s why I used a stamps set from Hero Arts for a phrase that wishes the person who gets this card the best day ever!

Here’s the video so you can have fun and relax while watching. Remember it has subtitles in English 😉
